Hi, I'm Jen
Therapist and Co-Founder of Illuminate Counseling & Wellness, a group practice in Newaygo. With a philosophy of strength based, humanistic, person-centered therapy, I will help you to rediscover your internal strengths by providing caring, empathetic and genuinely supportive therapy.
My office is a safe space for you to create self-awareness and compassion. My approach to therapy is offering a space where you feel heard, validated and are free to express and feel your emotions. Using empathy to listen deeply, accurately and non-judgmentally provides illumination and healing. I would love to work with you if you are ready to explore your emotions, increase awareness of yourself and increase your self-compassion.
Using my therapeutic and social work experience I also offer clinical supervision with therapists, mentoring for therapists starting in private practice and women interested in establishing their own business with a self guided course and/or private coaching.

FAQ
INSURANCE~ At this time I am accepting BCBS, BCN and Priority Health insurances. Couples sessions are $150 and are not insurance billable. All major credit cards and HSA cards are accepted.
OFFICE SESSIONS~ In person sessions are located at my office in downtown Newaygo.
TELEHEALTH~ Secure TeleHealth sessions are available for residents of Michigan.
WHAT TO EXPECT~ It is normal to be anxious when starting therapy and meeting a new therapist. At your first session, you can expect a friendly conversation to share what you are comfortable with. You will get to know me to see if you feel that I will be a good fit for you. If we are a good fit for each other the next session will be treatment planning based on your goals. We will then work toward your goals until you are feeling better.
